Membership of ASBEC is open to key organisations committed to sustainability in the built environment.

Categories of membership include:

• Professional organisation
• Industry Association
• Material & Product supplier associations
• NGO Groups with sustainability interests
• Government Departments & Agencies (Federal and State)
• Municipal bodies 
• Government Associations
• Academic/Scientific Institutions

Organisations will need to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability to the built environment through their constitution or through their policies and activities. 

Membership for Government and Academic Institutions is on an observer basis. Observer members are entitled to be participants of ASBEC Task Groups. 

Membership is not open to individuals or to private companies. Companies may be members of ASBEC members (industry and trade associations) and can have involvement with ASBEC through this means, or can also consider sponsorship of Task Group projects and activities.
